✨ 23rd of August: The Day of Free Will to Loot ✨

Our beloved fellow Entropians and devotees of the holy Lootius!

Not many may know this, but this most auspicious day, the 23rd of August, is the special day where we gather in spirit to honor and celebrate the divine gift bestowed upon us by the benevolent Lootius — the Free Will to Loot!

Today, we recognize that each item we find, each treasure we discover, is not just a mere poor object but a testament to our freedom, our choices, and our faith in the holy Lootius. If loot is a mighty armor part or a simple shrapnel, remember, Lootius smiles upon those who seize the opportunity to claim their destiny — whether it’s from a vanquished mob, a hidden treasure buried deep in the earth, or a trembling starship navigating the uncharted reaches of space! :handgun::lam:

As you celebrate this sacred day, may your paths be filled with abundance, your hearts with joy, and your loot bags with endless treasures. :king:

Like this post, and we shall send a silent prayer in your honor. And for those who reply with kind words, prepare yourselves to receive a small, written, personal blessing from yours truly.

And remember, this day will be the day where Lootius will indeed shower team hunts honoring his name with golden swirls.

So, let us rejoice in the freedom to loot, today and always, under the watchful eye of the holy Lootius. Blessed be the looters, for they shall inherit the riches of the earth!

Loot be with you,

The Church of Lootius :yay:

... To be continued.

A blessing from Lootius is no small thing, to be sure. So good to have the Church and TheNun back in the field :)

Wee all need atonement for our sins against the Algorithm.
condition crafting
multibombing
Swine hunting
Is it ok to punish ourselves with some Carabok or paneleon Swunting to obtain relief from our sins?
or should we donate to MA int eh form of VISA Swiping to obtain forgiveness?

Ahh bless you 💋 ... a Nun can only do what a Nun is best at ... And that's to go down on my bleeding knees and pray for our lovely Entropians ...

May your loot be shinier than your last respawn, and may all your misfires turn into crits :sniper:

Ah, the eternal struggle against the whims of the Algorithm!

Fear not, my fellow Entropian, for atonement comes in many forms. Whether it's the humble path of Carabok and Paneleon swunting or the more ... direct approach with a blessed VISA swipe, both can lead to the redemption we seek.

But remember, true forgiveness lies in the balance - swunt for your soul, swipe for your sins!:whip:

Count me in lol I'll take a shower of golden swirls anytime! - Yew!!!

Dear Lootius,

Yesterday was one of those days that few of us will ever forget. For me, it was my birthday, and I got to celebrate it with some truly great friends. For others, it was unforgettable for a different reason - their loot pockets suddenly overflowed with golden riches! Huge gratz to them!

Though I can’t help but feel like maybe Lootius accidentally swapped out my birthday gift, I’m sure it ended up where it was deserved... just not entirely sure where that leaves me, Lootius! 😄

Here’s to the next swirl, and maybe, just maybe, a little birthday magic that finds its way to the right pocket next time!!! Asking kindly ... with altar candles and heavy thorn whipping on my back.

Loot be with us all,

Lykke TheNun

Dear Lootius,

Hands up, if you like killing trees ...

Today, I embarked on a mission that’s about as thrilling as watching paint dry - harvesting trees. Yes, you heard that right. Your faithful Nun is out in the wilderness, Terratech in hand & drugs down my throat, chopping away at those stubborn trunks. It’s a lonely and somewhat boring task, but hey, it’s all for the greater good, right? After all, killing trees grants the all-important Resource Gathering skill, which, as you know, is linked to our ability to loot shiny stuff. And let’s be honest, who among us doesn’t want better loot ...

Dear Lootius,

Twenty years ago, when I first set foot on the lands of Calypso, I have to admit – I was blissfully ignorant of the art of sweating. The allure of pulling sweat from a mob never crossed my mind. I was too caught up in the thrill of the hunt, the chase, the loot. But oh, how times have changed.

Now, I find myself drawn to those enigmatic half-moon circles of skilled players, who, like a secret cult under your divine gaze, stand for hours sweating the mighty ambulimaxes. There’s something oddly captivating about it. Like a dance, almost, between player and creature, a connection that’s both primal and pure. The evil and the good in a perfect harmony ...

Dear Lootius,

You are your avatar … But your avatar isn’t always you!

“I am my avatar” isn’t just the song of the English-born entrepreneur, director, producer, and creator of the avatar NEVERDIE, Jon Jacobs. It’s a reality for many of us who live and breathe through the characters we’ve created.

In a way, we all wear masks, roles that others define us by. And often we can play a role, but deep down we are completely different. But when the stars align, an avatar can merge with a player into one ...

Dear Lootius,

Over the weekend, I found myself in good company lost in the mesmerizing sands of the old, extended version of Dune. Every time I watch it, it strikes me anew with its depth and intensity – and this time was no exception. Now, before anyone jumps to conclusions, let me clarify: no, this isn’t a post about wanting to dive into the Dune game universe (tempting as it may be!).

What really sparked my thoughts was that, as I was sweating it out at The Royal Club, I couldn’t help but notice some striking parallels between the classic film and Entropia; The struggles, collecting the resource sweat (the water of life), the intense desert vibes, and the second moon, Muad’dib, which mercifully shines down on the people.

Dear Lootius,

In the vastness of Entropia, we often find ourselves traversing landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see, filled with unknown creatures and endless opportunities. But as much as this world is about exploration and adventure, it is also a place where connections are formed – connections that can transcend the pixels on our screens. These friendships, though digital, are often as meaningful as those we make in the physical world.

There is something uniquely profound about friendships forged in the wider universe and in our own little society, Church of Lootius, too. Many of us are separated by great distances – different countries, cultures, and even languages. Without the benefit of facial expressions or the subtle cues of body language, misunderstandings can occur far too easily. It’s essential to remember that the words typed on a screen come from a person, just like us, sitting behind their own keyboard, living their own life, and feeling their own emotions.

Dear Lootius,

Recently, I watched Franklyn (2008) with a very good and wise friend, and, Lootius, did that world remind me of our own parallel existence between real life and Entropia Universe. The dystopian world of “Meanwhile City” felt eerily close to the way Entropia operates. In both, everyone clings to a faith – whether it’s how to play the game, what to expect in loot returns, or how to interpret skills.

Dear Lootius,

It’s a thought that flashes through your mind every time you purchase a strongbox in Entropia Universe. The anticipation builds as you hold the key, ready to unlock the mysterious box. Your hands tremble slightly, the thrill of possibility running through your veins. The box turns, begins to open, and …

Read my comparative review of Hellraiser III and the mysterious allure of Entropia Universe's Strongboxes below:

Oh, Dear Lootius,

Belief is a fragile thing, and so is a promise. I promised to make this blog post, and no matter how the Universe turns, I’m a Nun of my words 😉

BUT let’s face it, belief is like Thrill Seeker Party Panties – sometimes they’re comfy, sometimes they’re tight, and sometimes they just disappears entirely when you need them the most! Maintaining faith or even questioning it? That’s a game we all play, and trust me, like the fallen angels from the film Dogma (1999), it’s easy to lose. Even God, in that movie, takes the form of a playful woman who treats life like one giant cosmic joke, smiling and nodding while we poor souls wonder if we’re just players in some divine loot pool ...

Another very thought-provoking post Lykke. Keep the faith friend. Hey, you inspired me to start my pictorials, so thanks for that!! :swoon:

So glad to hear that!:bowdown::girl:

And thanks for the kind words. I know this post was a bit different from the usual, it was very close to heart, but hey, sometimes you just need a good laugh to let it all out, right? :beerchug:

Dear Lootius,

Once again, a movie night with a good friend has provided some food for thought - and this time, I’m chewing on Venom (2018). Yes, that superhero movie where the journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) bonds with a toothy alien, and suddenly, everything becomes one long inner battle between man and symbiote. If that doesn't remind you of life in Entropia, then you're not looking closely enough ...

Dear Lootius,

Sometimes you’re just out there, surfing the web, when bam – you stumble across something as juicy as Watchmen, and you’re left wondering how on Calypso you missed it. It’s like finding that hidden strongbox in Entropia, the one you didn’t know was there but now can’t live without. And let me tell you, my loot-loving friends, Watchmen is practically screaming for an Entropian comparison.

At first glance, Watchmen seems like your typical superhero flick. You know – tight suits, nakid blue guys with big … hmmm … egos, and plenty of action (sounds fun already). But it’s so much more than that. It’s all about the fine line between good and evil, power and weakness, ego and survival. Kinda like us, really. Entropians are our own brand of superheroes, each with our quirks, skills, and yes, sometimes egos bigger than an ATH. But behind every mask – virtual or otherwise – is someone trying to survive in a universe of chaos ...

Dear Lootius,

If you need a good film for Halloween, Jacob's Ladder should definitely be at the top of your list. Without a doubt, one of the best films I’ve watched. It’s a dive into horror with a twist, where Jacob, a Vietnam vet, tries to make sense of disturbing visions that seem to haunt him from both past and present. In his climb between the realms of Heaven and Hell, Jacob is forced to confront some uncomfortable truths. But how can I possibly draw a comparison between Jacob’s Ladder and Entropia? Well, for us Lootians, we’ve got our own ladder – the server connection – leading us up from our own version of earthly hell into our little slice of virtual heaven.

Jacob’s Ladder
gave us a glimpse of a man wandering between Heaven and Hell, trying to make sense of his life’s purpose. For Jacob, his ladder was a terrifying passage between his earthly life and whatever lay beyond. For us Lootians, though, the ladder looks more like a login screen – a gleaming portal that says, “Welcome back, sinner. Forget your troubles and embrace the sweet, virtual embrace of Entropia!” Who needs a purgatory when we’ve got Nakid Cow Fisting and golden loot showers from our benevolent Lootius?

Read about the horror here ...
