Hangar owners - what did they get?

Got some friends who invested alot of time and money and provided an excellent flying service, only to be placed in limbo for years.

Hoping things worked out for them. Any clues?

So the SEE and MA split did come at a really bad time for all of you who own hangars...

Not sure the loot distribution fairy was on duty that day. In fact I reckon it is totally fucked.
In fact if I was the suspicious type I would even think it was an MA ava trying to generate some interest.

Just my opinon and you know it is frank as always mate.

Dear Hangar Manager,
I hope you have seen on our Buzz (http://www.entropiauniverse.com/bulletin/buzz/) that "there will be some special treats for our current hangar managers in this space release and a subsequent release.".

Today, in the first space release, you - as one of the hangar managers - will receive one of the first space thrusters to your Inventory. They are necessary to reach space with a Sleipnir (VTOL), Quad-Wing Interceptor (Medium Fighter) and potentially other ships in the future. Your thruster will be of unlimited type which is very rare for these items.

In a subsequent space release you will find a space craft in your Inventory of Privateer class. This is a large vessel that can take multiple passengers and carry heavy armament though it´s a bit smaller than the Aniara Class Mothership.

We hope you find the space release as exciting as we do.

You might build a time machine for starfinder, so he can create a tracker in pregold, so you might see more global in this time :p Tracker isn't the only truth. Even today it isn'T 100% reliable. Just food for thoughts and you might do some more research before you jump on conclusions. Could be fairer move for the player in question, than blaming him for getting that ATH.

people can't seem to read the full thread before they hit quote and complain.... Hangar owners will be repaid with a new spaceship... What are you complaining about?

but hangar owners still in the dark about when they will receive this ship, what function their hangars will serve and if they still have a viable passenger business: time will tell.
 
How much did the hangars cost when they was bought from MA? You can't demand to be compesated more than the tt value of the cost for the hangars + maybe some small additional compesation.

I heard they were expensive, however the TT value of the deed is .01 PED.

Im happy to buy someones hangar off of them. :) Willing to discuss reasonable buyout terms. Drop me a PM.
 
What is nice for hangar owners is that they now have multiple items: The estate, the booster and at some point in the future the ship. They could sell some of it if they wanted and keep the rest. That makes their property more flexible!

I guess instead of being early believers in MA and in many cases investing over 100k peds all the hangar owners should have just gotten a lucky ATH.

How are hangars inoperable? You can use it as an estate AND they got the boosters so they can go into space with their VTOLs.

What was the original cost of a land area years ago when auctioned by MA?

Entropia was totally different then so it`s wrong to make that comparison. Was much an unproven platform and people who bought them at the time took a big risk. Playerbase was also much smaller back then. Original cost when they were auctioned doesn`t mean squat.

Don't know the exact number, somewhere around 10k if i'm right. But the hangars bought from MA weren't operational. You needed like 20 items (crafted & looted) to make it operational.

So... the hangars came with a VTOL?

No.

They have to add a "booster" to a VTOL they have already purchased completely seperate from the hangar.



You are right though, it is a working estate, great for dance parties! :duh:

Yes the orginal cost matters a lot. You can't demand to get compesated for any MU value on the hangar. I agree the owners should get some additional compesation beside the orginal cost of the hangars, but it should not take to account any MU. I mean, you already have gotten money from the tp fees when the system was "down".

Which was only substitution from being unable to operate them or to SELL/TRADE them and we were forced to keep peds stuck in them all this time.
 
I guess the value of this will depend on the comparison between a Privateer and a Mothership.

I fear the owners of one or the other are going to be disappointed.

On a side note, if a Privateer requires a Hangar on Calypso, wouldn't that mean the Privateer cannot be released until Hangars are implemented on the other planets (which would require action from the PP)? (And who is going to own them?)

As a potential passenger without a VTOL, I do see the merit of travelling direct planet to planet, without any hassle of using the space stations, if that is how it is going to work. And hopefully the travel time will be much less than the 30 minutes a VTOL apparently takes.

I hope the next release comes soon, the value of the business, and of the thrusters, must be currently uncertain, and probably won't match the TP compensation which the hangar owners will presumably now no longer get.

Maybe theese warp thingies can go on tose hangar ships but not on the VTOL and alow
them to travel safely between planets?
That would open up for some business for traders and travelers that doesn't care about space and pvp.
Let's hope that is so.
