Stop the Perception

On Thursday at 12:00 MA time the pirate ship Perception will make a gold transport.


The Normandie will be out trying to stop it, since i myself wont be online in that timeframe, i will hand guest list rights, in advance, please sign up now to be part of Mindarks first Space event.


The Normandie calls all other motherships to assist and take their share during this battle.

What? Huge of gold? It's just XVIII 450 - 599 PEDs, and MU is crap!

My guess would be we see the first time the full potential of a mothership when it's guarded and equipped/enhanced

The reason for gold to be transportet by a pirate mothership is a nice story and gold is needed for mothership SI upgrades so its very useful to get all those motherships beefed up which got released currently.

I guess after the event alot of players will have gold for sale and alot of mothership owners will buy it.

Sign up for the Normandie and take your share of gold !

ehhh..a lot of players ?
you mean 1 mothership that loots it

i find this very disturbing..its like ma says 1 specific mob (pirateship) carries alot of loot (gold)

ps; you can already buy gold for almost tt :)

I can not look into the future, but i would guess that it will work like every of the latest events - everyone who shoots gets a share.

or 1 ship gets all..except then that ship will be targetpractice for the other ships around..and then another and another .. ;)

Let's assume it will be that way. After the Perception is destroyed the space around the wreck will be full of mother ships and Quad Wings that are full of loot. Can you guess what will happen next? It will be like a Piranha swarm with every Piranha having a raw steak stapled to its back.

Everyone with a VTOL has access to space.
Just go to twins your your planets equivelant and hire a flight up to the space station and you are good to go, you can travel around space as much as you want on your own once your there and tp back down when your done.

Just to make it clear,
EVERYONE with a vtol has access to space.

So only people at "Gunner" station on MS will get any loot? Us poor repair folks as well as pilot and co-pilot get nada? This means on the current MS I serve on, 3 people get the loots, as only 3 gunner positions are allowed to be occupied at a time.
 
Someone standing at the calypso space station TP with a box of welding wire might be able to make a few peds :)

We will soon know - but i myself for example take the risk getting my mothership shot down multiple times without even being online to loot something - so why are there so many pessimists around here turning their opportunity down to get a mothership in their hands and have a chance in an fun event ?

Getting into space is also a non-issue since i can summon everyone up for free if he/she signs up in time ;)


There is still time to sign up and beat the pirates instead of giving up before you even tried - get it going people !

I would think it would be smarter for the mothership to stay just off the edge of the fight with a hanger full of repairmen and a dozen+ fighters/vtols flying into the action.

As soon as they get shotdown they will revive at the mothership and need quick repairs to get back into the battle.

A fully functional hanger at the edge of the battle manned with repairmen would likely be more beneficial than 3 gunners in a ship that may get shot down itself and have to make the flight back to the battle again.

Yes, they MS will have to be clever about this, with a great strategy. There is still time to devise a plan.

Depends on how the looting works,the strength of the team and the plan.
Each member of the crew would be valued, and if there is a way of spliting the loot, it would be done fairly.

There is nothing to lose, a chance at some loot and to be part of an epic space event! :D

Careful now, they didnt say there wont be anything else in there along with that gold. Big Bang and out comes all the space mobs agro'ing on all who disturbed the hive, i mean perception. :tongue2:

Actually im convinced that there will either be alot of fighters or drones guarding the perception and that she will be beefed up to the roof - otherwise it wouldnt be an event as she would be terminated faster then one could look.
 
I'm hoping someone will be running FRAPS through all of it. (for the rest of us landlubbers) :)
 
12:00 on a weekday is a bad time for an event.
