Besides this isn`t totally an adult game either, yes, you have to register with a guardian or something if you are under 18 (don`t know the exact registration procedure) but still - you or the guardian accepts the eula, but i hardly doubt there is anything mentioned about nudity or anykind of similar things. When you visit a porn site you know whats in there and why there is this age verification/terms of service acceptation before entering. But here you don`t.

Well I play EU for fun. I found boorum to be great fun. This thread was supposed to be for fun. I didn't expect an uproar. To be honest it never crossed my mind that someone could find them insulting or whatever, especially not the gaming community. I must live on a different planet.

I really would like for someone from MA to come out and say what is behind boorum (and feff) change.

Oh boy, this thread went nuts. What was supposed to be a little fun poking turned out to be a big, long show of dickery. What a cockup.

First of all, I'm an adult and I'm very comfortable with my sexuality and beliefs, and personally I never had problems with them (The Boorum). Didn't get to hunt them much, perhaps only once during an event with socmates, and they surely were hard for me because I had too little armor. (No double entendres there intended, they do hit hard if all what you have is Shogun ) And yeah, they were fun mobs due to their very prominent "feature". However I can see why MA/FPC took such a decision. If they'll be trying to get the most wide appeal into the game, they must first make it as approachable as possible. And as much as so many have little problems with a little nudity here and there, there are also people with different mindsets who do have a problem with it. People with money. So they're also potential participants, not to mention the fact EU can be still be played by minors. The EULA states:

1. Age Requirements

If You are under the age of 18 please note -

To qualify as an Entropia Universe Participant, You must be at least 18 years old. If You are not 18 years old but You are at least 13 years old, You may still apply for an Entropia Universe Account, but only with approval of Your parent or guardian.

...so there is a fair chance of a quite unpleasant encounter, not by the minors playing the game (A boy already knows and has what it is dangling between his legs, and a girl maybe will point and laugh, but if she's at least 13 then she should know the whole business) but for their overprotective parents. So MA/FPC is covering their asses there just in case, not to mention countries with different laws and rulings regarding nudity.

tl;dr: They were fun but yeah, saw it coming. Dickless mutants are less fun but more law and kid-friendly.
