I think its very good to have a messanger where i can searc hfor people by their EU names...

its hard to find anyone on MSN or Skype or ICQ or whatnot unless they post their info somwhere like EF or their personal website... i believe this communicator should help people get in touch easier ...

so please stop complaining about 711 getting a good response from the community...

BTW i think this kind of thing should have been implemented ingame by MA 5 years ago lol :D
 
I think its a great idea! :yay: Would make it easier to get a hold of society members if the need arises. Well thats if they use it :)

Program Question: Is there an option to minimize just to the quick access bar? When I minimize it goes to the quick access bar and the taskbar (Win XP)
 
I love it.. have already come in touch with a few players and getting along real nice. Maybe a good start for a friendship ingame.
And I have alot of ppl on my friends list that I don't know from before but can start to talk with more easily now.

Then you have the plus side that you can get in contact with ppl from ingame, most of them anyway, without the need to try and find them ingame.

I'm so happy right now :yay:

Im at work and havent tested this awesome IM yet. But the way I understand it, the IM you have to registrere on Entropians.com??

Why cant this IM be implemented in EntropiaForum.com, the same way Facebook.com is.
So that my friends on EntropiaForum.com are automaticly added to my IM.
And that we dont have to make another login,pass to use the IM.

Simply close the window from "X", it will go to the quick acces bar only.. if I understood well what you meant. :)

If anyone figures out a way to recieve and send messages while playing (without alt-tabbing...), let me know.

Then X-fire will be sooooo gone from my harddrive. :)
 
Without alt-tabbing? run EU in a window. There, all done.

Now tell me this Smart ass, there are tons of other forums out there, and I would be willing to bet that you are apart of a few others. But out of the many others forums, why use this one?

Are these other forums really all insufficient for your Forum needs? :D

lol Centech is frustrated as hell.

More seriousely i noticed some lil problems.

The first one is that pressing enter spam ur name in chatroom.
I think it must work only if text is added.

The second one, copy past work on chat room. Can it be a security problem ?

You don't really get the point of this. The thing that is offered is an IM server where you can search for all avatars in game, and directly chat with them. All the other IM solutions wont contain avatar names, and most other users wont even know what EU is, so those are pretty useless for finding other avatars in game
 
Feature request:

Add a field for society, which is also used in search.

711, this is a fantastic effort. Really, gratz!

Now I can actually contact people in EU without having to be in EU, in a way that might actually work! Brilliant! I agree with Ido that this should have been done years ago by MA.

711...if its pure Java, why not give us a Java Webstart version instead of distributing an installer thats solely Windoze oriented....that way you can tout your cross platform ability much more.

That, or give us access to a jar file directly?

D-Low said it best in his post ... but just for the record ... if you don't like this new feature, then don't damn use it, but to exhibit your crass behavior as you usually do at this forum just continues to show your inconsiderate ignorance with regard to others' enjoyment of things that you may not appreciate. What makes this good is that you can add more than just the people on your in-game FL and you can leave messages for them offline. This will serve us well until MA implements a much better social/messaging/friends system in-game.
 
My friends I want to add, arent updating the info in thier profile contact area.

So please do :D
