Evil amp misstake :((

the auction will end on a monday around dinner time for many people or for many during work hours so there is hope many will miss the end.
or at least its not in the weekend....

i however will be home at that time and if LAZZ wants me to help out i could help out by making the last bid.
only problem i have is that i do not have enough funds ingame and cant get that ingame as to the fine i got last week in real life.

solution i can offer to LAZZ, is is to hand me over ped to the amount as how far he wants to go.
after auction ended i can

1. give him the ped back if i lose the auction
2. give him the evil and and rest of the ped that is left

LAZZ if you are up for that , i would love to help you on this




PS : about Mr Infinity ... i just looked at auction , your really a bit of a dushback if you have the guts to even bid once more as you can't say any longer ,,, i did not know ,,,
so please don't make any bidding on it.
 
Stolen is the wrong word since the amp was traded to him/her. However it is shitty that this person is willing to ruin their reputation over such a low amount of money. :(

Personally, there's no amount of money I would accept if it would ruin my rep.
 
I hate to admit it but anomity is correct....

However I do hope this works out for the best in the end.... and for sure no amount of money is worth loosing your in game rep over.

All very true, but I suspect once the amp is sold and peds transfered to another ava we won't be seeing Multianna again. Rep only matters to honest players. Douchebags simply don't care. :(

GL Lazz and Brent...crappy situation.

Regardless of whether or not it was traded, the fact that this scumbag did not trade back in good faith is stealing in my opinion...

Stolen is the right word. Unless someone can tell me the correct term for "unlawful keeping" i am just fine calling it stolen.

Even the people in this thread who, for whatever odd reason, seem to think the EULA replaces real life law ("All trades are final" thus it is no theft to keep something that doesn't belong to you) could not come up with an better word. Maybe because there simply is no other word, because stolen is just the right one?

I stared EU in WildD3amons. TBH this is how every person I have met from this great Soc acts. I know that no matter the outcome, Lazz and Brent will always be on the high end of the line.

Well my life is actually very nice. I cant stream it, dont have a cam, but i can tell you i have 3 very sweet young kids and a lovely wife. I work with phisical disabled people, 4 days a week. My wife works 5 days a week. So normally i wake up at 6 or 7 am, take care of the kids and bring them to scool when my wife is at work. When i come back i read forum and drink coffee, after that i do housekeeping and take my mountainbike out for a ride. When i come back i do some more muscle training. After that i drink another coffee, do some fixing work in the house. As we bought a house i had to fix alot of things, but its almost ready :)
At 12 i get my kids from scool, make them food etc and at 13.00 they need to be at scool again. Between 13-15 i sometimes log in and resell some, relax some, do some shopping etc. At 15.00 i go get my kids and between 15.00 and 16.30 i play with them. Most of the time its lego, but they love to play outside too.
16.30 me or my wife cooks, we eat, i take care of the kitchen etc. 18.00-19.00. Hugg time but we also love to practice Judo, as my 3 sons are on judo.
19.00 is bed time for 2 youngest onces. They are twins, 4 years old. My oldest son. 7 years old may go to bed at 20.00. So we have 45 minutes left only for him, quality time ;) We read alot, play video games or just hang on the sofa watching tv.
At 20.00/20.15 we bring him to bed. Then me and my wife have time for eachother. What happens then i could stream on youporn everyday. But as i said, i dont have a cam;)
Normally at 21.00 to 22.30/23.00 i go snipe auction. Most of the time i am much faster then whiteknut aka snabblesnot and win items that are put in auction waaay to cheap. Ppl forget zero's alot lol. I cant help it, if i dont win it someone else does and its a good way of making some extra euro's each month.
So if you ask me, i am pretty happy with my life, way better then sitting behind the computer for hours gambling my money away lol.
 
Well if i win it now its gonna be little more then 30$ :D
2nd, i dont think it was stolen. The n00b ran away with the amp, but lazz gave it to him. I teach my kids that if they give something away, you cant just grab it back whenever you want...
And my wife is very happy with what i do yes, it brings money in the pocket :laugh:

one player makes a stupid mistake , you on the other hand simply acts like a retard.


This property is stolen no matter what .


We could be friends in rl as we seem to share the same life , but ive seen too many people act like retards when it comes down to moneys even low sums , some steal from work and gets fired risking the whole family support

You could end up being banned , didnt you think of that , what will be your new avas name ?

Even though what happend is a big loss. Everything that have happend is perfectly legal and no1 have done anything wrong beside the trader themself. Infinity will not get banned for bidding on a item not scammed, not stolen. But 100 % given away legally to the wrong person (Easily averted if the Trader would be awake and not tired and not just wanting to get the deal done.) Complaining about a third "Are you sure button" Or Reclaim item after 5 min, is not a good idea rather than saying "Hey next time I'l check information twice before accepting".

And please look at the difference between Laws and Norms (Unwritten rules) :)

Norm in this case. Give back items that other traded to the wrong avatar.
Law : U made a "ownership" agreement that the Evil amp is now changing owner from Your name to Other Ava.
But since u didnt look at the Avas name, which is a "user fault" that trade is still 100 % legal in this case.

I suggest people fixing up their own rutines of looking at the information twice or 3 times before accepting.

Truly sorry for the loss. As I wouldnt take advantage or other people mistakes, but sadly this is just a "norm" I follow. Not a law I obey.

There was no trade in the legal sense between LAZZ and the receiver of the amp, because LAZZ did not have ownership rights. Only the legal owner or someone who is authorized by the legal owner can transfer ownership and close a deal in the legal sense.

This has never happened in this case.
 
Just something I would like to bring to the thread, maybe already has been.


remember when MA traded like 700cld to that one player when they where selling them at fort ithica.

Well, all trades are finial so surely that guy could have refused to give them back and MA could do nothing about :D

When Lazzgiven the amp, it is then up to him.


We have a moral code to give the amp back/look after the amp for the owner. (as we stated it was borrowed). From what I understand there was no contract or coll given, so as soon as Lazz received that amp, it became his.

That is not the case in many of the legal systems that might apply here (and I was replying to Guarana's argument of everything being perfectly legal).

LAZZ held the amp, as Wildman had handed it over for some specific reason. From a legal point of view, LAZZ now had the right to use it for what he and Wildman agreed on (and I do not doubt that this was all he ever intended). Wildman never relinquished his rights as the owner of the amp.

That is why the auctioning/selling of the amp would in many legal systems not be a rightful trading activity, especially after the receiver had been informed of the mistake, and Infinity's attempt at buying the amp might be regarded as buying goods from someone who he knows is not the legal owner.

If u have a oral agreement between the "Borrower" and the "Real owner" that is something that is decided outside the game's rules. Since MA states that all trades are FINAL. Meaning every right u have to that items is gone once u accept the trade.

This is why u are 100 % responsible for anything that happends to that Item once you have given it away.
Meaning if u borrow a mod fap to a "friend". That person rly have full access to steal that fap and sell it.

The game rules are on a contractual level, and any law that applies here will supersede a contractual agreement and its shortcomings. The "All Trades are final" rule contradicts a lot of what is stated in national and international laws. But the rule will be applied as long as no one challenges it

However, MA explicitly states in the EULA that you may be banned if you use the EU system to infringe any laws on any level. Thus they reserve the right to investigate and ban you, even if what you do is covered by the game rules.

You can't seriously equate players and MA, both from the POVs of EULA and common sense. You don't expect the god to follow the 10 commandments? :)
 
I swear, I am not seeing things...be careful people: Since this thread occurred, NUMEROUS times, I have seen new avatars run up in between avatars that are facing each other and just stand there. Happened WAY too much for it to be a coincidence. I was doing a lot of trading back and forth the last few days in several places, mainly the busier trade centers and towns, on Caly and RT, and several different avatars ran up and stood in between me and the avatar I was facing. They were nobody avatars with no skills. Thankfully, this thread made me hyper-alert about watching for this lately.

That is so not true you should be sued for aggravated misinformation and sent to a mexican prison. I don't even know where to begin.
