Hi Devs,


Player One makes team with 100% Healer Loot.
Player Two joins the team and heals himself one time.
Player One can go out and hunt in Lootable PvP or Space and never heal himself.
Player Two gets all the loot regardless of where he is (near TP....even another planet).


This "hidden feature" can be used to eliminate all the risks of hunting in lootable pvp zones or even to transport loot from one planet to another at no cost. If Player One needs heal during the hunt he can hire a fapper out of the team.


Any comments on this please? Is this working as intended ... or ... ?

What you've just stated and demonstrated is 100% an exploit.
 
Then you can never heal yourself on a mob there lol while hunting. How practical is that when at it for real?

Yup in pvp what happens when the hunter heals between kills?

And if you send the guy #2 to skill healing at Nea's, the guy #1 can heal himself from time to time.
Was used (or tried to) in Feffox caves to collect sacks from several hunters on 1 avatar, don't know how successful.

No need to jump off a roof to predict the result :). People already were discussing the method in the release notes thread of VU in which the healer loot sharing was added.

exploit. should be easy for MA to log and see who has done this tho.. since they are in a team, and only one person receives loot... then they can probably see where he has been standing :)
 
You forget about the opportunity to make 99 or 90% healer loot, and looter may collect some loot for PK-er :laugh:

I already wrote a support case, if this is not done by someone else
 
I thought about this: and why would they have made it go to 100%? Maxxing it at 10% would be just fine. I know I sometimes tip too much, but 10% cap would have sufficed for even the most generous players. The fact that they made it 100% leaves me wondering why. I would consider this a feature, even though I would not do it because I would rather staple my face to the carpet than hunt mobs I don't have to heal on.
 
As far as I know, the hunter can still fap himself and not get any of the healer loot. It's only by fapping another team player that the hunter gets a heal loot share. Also, the amount of heals affects the loot share between the fappers.
It means it messes things up if you have to heal your fapper for some reason.

At least it was that way before the recent updates and patches..... I didn't bother to test 100% setting and travelling to a different planet, or even to hunt space mobs. I decided even the story saying that my fapper would be waiting for me on the MS to heal me if I died, and that my fapper was acting like a golf caddy to keep my valuables while I quad hunted was too far past believable for even the craziest of belivers in 'features'!

Then it occurred to me that MA has said in support answers to me that space is treated differently from planets - which makes anything possible once again. Still, interesting to see this thread: I hadn't seen one on any forums before, although it is said above that the subject was discussed right at the start ;)

Edit: to answer Sunsout - if you select 100% and cross-heal once, then I believe it is possible to get a true 50/50 split between two active hunters in a team (except items). All the loot goes into fapper sharing and each gets 50%. This is by far the most balanced loot share model I've seen so far for people hunting 'together but individually'. The luck of a good mob gets shared no matter who bagged it :).
This is ONE possibility why the system allows up to 100% and would indeed be a feature for those who decide to use it fairly (and it maybe was therefore even designed that way).

imo its design - as a developer you couldnt be that stupid to not foresee this application, therefore it must be expected and therefore allowed.

Someone will find out the hard way if this is allowed or not, myself would never dare to use it.. My avatar is worth more than some silly bug/exploit like this...feature...

I hadn't thought of that...thanks :) Some of the best loot I had was on low level mobs in teams, but usually the mobs are dead before dps evens out cuz mobs die too quick, so when u get a big one, the others in team get screwed, and so I even it out anyway with them. But that takes time. This def would make it easier.

yah, long enough to recall a similar teaming/loot assignment method was used to evade being looted in PVP, and removed. to re-introduce this feature must be by design, shirley?
 
lol... I bet space pirates abuse this "feature" all the time... they dont even need to go down to planet to sell this way. Just use an alt avatar... complete safe way to loot people and no risk for them to lose any loot.:eyecrazy:

I think this was mentioned as something some people could have done during the feffox event.

There once was a team loot option "[team] leader takes all", but that option was changed to "looter takes all" when PVP4 came ingame. (Option was there when there was just pvp3 that was lootable pvp.)

For such a wonderful ANTI-PIRATE FEATURE , just as I was beginning to give up hope for this hostile game.

Another useful feature implemented by teh development team, much better than gangam dance :wise::dunce:

No, no, you misunderstood. You have to be doing the Gangnam dance when you get killed or it doesn't work right.

definitely exploit, I know of a player who has exploited this to the tune of thousands of peds. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, I like my account.
 
I think the way you use this system would determine if its an exploit.
I like to use it for players that are hunting for me.

I can get 100% of my loot instantly without having to keep track of what was looted from each player.

Just my 2 cents.
