That's what it appears to be.... maybe due to the fact that it's warmup nobody want's to display new tactics yet? Or has M2S worked a deal with the other SOCs there promising not to attack their markers if they own one during the "real LG". Securing at least 1 LA for M2S for sure.

I zipped in un-armored and equipped my fap hoping to get some fapping skills, however, after a few minutes SKULL decided my free services weren't required any longer. :laugh:

Was my first time experiencing a Land Grab and I must say I was blown away by the fact that all the "Big SOCs" seemed to have grouped together....

However... maybe it's a situation where everyone didn't want to be online all day for 1 LA as their chances of claiming it were 1 in 50 at best. So helping M2S ensured the event would end sooner.

I dunno... but was pretty interesting all the least. At the time of this post, M2S had held the LA for about 25% of the required time.

to bad:(, It seams is all about money, if this alliance is so big it means that the winner of the LG is already known :(. Maybe they could make one big society with uber players then, what is the point to have 4-5 societies.. ?!

All LG charm is wasted :(

We definitely need new rules for new LG. Hope MA don't like what they see..
 
It's a bit early to judge the outcome from the warmup event alone. Also quite how alliances are formed is a little beyond me, there's no ingame mechanism requiring treaty observations so any member of said alliance could form their own and have a go themselves. It's all just blind promises is my point.
 
It was kinda funny of DD, to make an event on the land, saying LG start at 12.30... alot of ppl fell for that.

dont think thats totally true with the new weapons lr66 with bbc and stuff i saw people 2 shoting warants members:eek:

quite funny to watch really but it was frikn laggy
 
To bad only warrants still tries something... But only thing the can do is try getting to the claim and then be killed.... I guess other socs then Warrants and M2S are to chicken to fight alone

You will see ... that as the video goes on, it slows down because of lag, and ... I have an XPS 720 with 4Gb of RAM (only 3 being used of course), and other bells and whistles that should not cause my system to lag so much, but ... I not only had FRAPS up, I was on Skype with Stave who is the DJ live on Atlas Haven Radio, and we tried desperately for me to be able to report live from the field ... however, it wasn't working so well.

I'm heading back in ... and I'll get more screen shots, if there's anything to get, and more footage as well for later, but keep posting here for those of you in the field observing ... if you can get close enough. :D I had to log out as I said, because the 300 seconds to T-out to revive would have taken a gazillion more minutes with the lag, so I'm probably going to be lying dead in front of the landmarker when I sign in ... and if so ... then I should be able to get some close-ups possibly.

i turned my settings right down 16bit and min but it was still insane lagg looks like a new pc is needed lol

yeah exactly. i think people making abit of a fuss over nothing. its the test one, although it has some nice dna.

anything can happen on the two main events...
 
the only reason why m2s will get the LA is, star wont revive at the northern LA :laugh:

If that was directed to me, I mean it's weird seeing a giant collection of societies all waiting for one soc to make their disorganized attempt to capture the flag.

Anyone have the coords to the claim marker? I want a front room seat to watch :)

Nope ... reporters and radio staff are NOT safe. :laugh: I've been dead there in front of the landmarker since LG started, but relogging again because lag is SO bad my fraps keeps going down to 1 at times. However, prior to that, I DID get a lot of great footage, so I'm looking forward to putting the next video together later. :D

BTW ... coords to landmarker are ... 17509 - 9527 ;)

It's OFFICIAL ... M2S has secured and won Land Area 17 in Phase 1 of Land Grab 2009. I managed to get a lot of great footage with fireworks and HoF's and attacks on M2S ... so I will get the video put together as quickly as I can. :D

sofar for your thread that m2s would not stand a chance coming lg cause all societys would fight against m2s ;)
