Hi there, is this really all you guys can offer?
Copy and paste, no innovation, nothing new, old problems new moon, an absolutely shameless return on ARIS, the owners want to stay in the shadow with their shady business.

There is so much more I just don't want to give to much time for so less effort which was presented towards us as a community again.
Why are you doing this? Do you wanna destroy the game, wanna add up something to it, what's your plan give us some future insights with details and stop talking rubbish we're not kids here anymore take us with respect!
 
If you don't think it matters where you spend your money, I have several investments I'd like to show you about.

How many cases of rug-pulling with fake crypto-currencies are there in the real world, much less right here in this very game?

I don't blame anyone for wanting to know who they're doing business with.
 
And who cares? Nobody owes you identity, if you have issues go to MA, MA is the legally responsible entity, read the agreement.



Strange this is turning into a witch hunt, who cares who or what happened prior, hes a PP and your not. Check your privileges people its not that deep.

It's fairly straightforward. In this game where actual money is involved some people prefer to know who they are doing trades with. Some players for example may not want to do any trades with scammers. Whilst there will be others who don't care and would trade with them.

If you fall into the camp you don't care that's your right but you can't force your view on others.

Likewise to the people who care who they trade with they can't make you care because it's your fundamental right to do what you want.

Being a planet or moon partner is no different than doing normal player to player trades. We are likely to have more players turn PP/Moon owners in the future. So it's actually very important what precedence's we set.
 
I think a good part of the community wanting to know has everything to do with how poor the overall communication has been with Mindark for over 20 years now and Mindarks own vagueness over player/customer concerns never being addressed.

Continuation of being intentionally vague was never going to be well met from the majority of this player base because of exactly that.

A short little "Hey we are XYZ group with 6 dedicated and passionate gamers who are willing to listen and adapt our world into something we think everyone will love and we look forward to working and hearing from you!" is all we're asking for here.

That being said even with continued development I just don't see a reason to go there for more of the same lack luster gameplay I can get anywhere else.

One last note, I have never been disappointed with anything Bethesda released, quite the opposite in fact. I can however say that is not the case for this game as someone else put it with the NUMEROUS rug pulls throughout it's history. To even put the two companies side by side is laughable at best because Bethesda would have never rolled out a copy and paste of a planet that already exists and think that no one would notice just changing the mob colors with different names would be new and refreshing.

And regarding all the questions about owners and so on, we are a new company based in Sweden, and it was started up for this project spcifically. We've been around in the game for a long time, but we of course can't play for real now that we have too much insight into the inner workings. We are not related to BiG or Neverdie or any other groups. We have a background in game development, and we are just enthusiastic about being a part of this Universe and making our own little corner the best we can.

We are looking into lowering the bar on the entry level stuff to give more people a chance to check it out. So don't give up on us yet! However, not everyone is supposed to be able to kill everything either. There should be something for everyone, but not everyone can do everything.

It is nice to see many of you enjoying the lack of teleportation and flying vehicles, though, and it sounds like you are having much of the experience we were aiming for!

One new mechanic would be the system for the Daily Instances, where it is possible for us to create content that is balanced for people with all kinds of schedules. Playing one or two hours per day will let you have the same chance of success as people who play a lot more. Also, things like the Maintenance Tunnels were not possible before. There are a few other smaller ones as well, and while it may not be groundbreaking, it is still new 🙂

The structure of the partnership is a bit different compared to the other partners, where this setup is more light-weight. But yes, we are a Partner and we do have a Planet (which is a moon).

The long silence was because we did not want to set ourselves up for that kind of pressure, and the risk of breaking promises. Announcing something too early has a big chance of backfiring (I'm looking at you Bethesda), and releasing things as a surprise has a higher chance of becoming a positive experience (I'm looking at you Bethesda, again). If we had announced this when we made the deal, you would have been sorely disappointed with us around Christmas last year, and again in Q1 this year, for delaying the release.

We have no plans to set up a separate Discord for ARIS right now at least, but we will be around on the forum and try to be as active as we can. The best way for feedback right now would also be the forum.

The lightweight partnership model for ARIS is new afaik. It helps explain both the moon structure and the fast access from Caly. Hopefully, this setup still allows for long-term depth and development and you're not too limited in what you can do. A strong, distinct identity is going to be key in keeping people invested.

Balancing content for time limited players is something EU has historically struggled with, so anything that evens the playing field a bit is welcome. Repetitive content will always be something every Entropian has to deal with. Making long mission dialogue won't help anyone, people usually just click through and move to the next waypoint. As a tip, don't waste too much resources on this. I guess you could say that we like lore, but not in mission dialogue haha.

Interesting groundwork with the tunnels. No new groundbreaking mechanics gameplay wise then, but more on the side of development I guess. Still cool!

A bit more transparency on the dev team in general would be good. Why not share what avatar you played, since you can no longer play it anyway? :)
Anyway, it's good to know that you're not just 2 kids in a basement trying to build something... But players that actually played the game, and no ties to ND/BIG/younameit! Ties to mindark though?

No separate Discord, things on the forum get flooded easily. If activity grows, you willfind the playerbase craving a more realtime channel. Something to keep in mind for later.

For me, I just want it to feel like it has its own soul and isn’t just a slightly reshuffled version of what already exists. And again, communication like this helps a lot, so keep it coming 🙏

And again, congrats on the launch!

Ohh, one more question. Does ARIS stand for something?

No, that is saying who they are not.

Hyperion in real life is a controversial company with multiple lawsuits , and Hyperion in entropia isn’t a real company.

And Hyperion in Borderlands is a gun company

No one reads, go to x and talk to x quests or kill x Quests, cause that’s not engaging.

The new “dynamic spawn” We were even told that the random pop up events would “shape the planet and cities”

Not sure how when it’s just bosses spawned like some Private Server shit

This is true and you are entitled to your questions and opinions, I just don't agree with the "good part of the community" since it projects opinions on other players and is a blatant lie.

Just flew up there yesterday with thousands of peds to try this new 'planet.' Figured I'd come get to know the faces behind it while I use F-key to shoot some renamed and recolored mobs from Calypso ... and ... well ... I'm with the ones who find this secrecy of who is behind ARIS enough of an agitation that I'm suspending ped expenditure until the proud men and women behind it grow a pair and step out of the dark.

I'm glad you enjoy the copy and paste content, this isn't the conversation for you then is it? Also, you cherry picked what you wanted to hear instead of reading the full statement which was "I think a good part of the community wanting to know" as in those of us who do want to know not as in everybody in the game as you wanted to interrupt it. So if you want to think I "project opinions on other players and is a blatant lie." as a person that is also in the same soc as you shows pretty poor taste in my opinion on your part.

The fact that more people took the time to like my post goes to show how yes a good part of us DO want to know even if that's 10%. Would you as a business owner want to make a smaller amount of money or a larger amount of money?? Those who don't want to know or don't care can simply keep scrolling at this point.

It's for the people that are CURIOUS as to where the new content is coming from. I'd personally love to support a good dev that show's great engagement with the community but if it's more of the same status quo I can get on any other planet I'll just get it there instead. There are many years of content I have yet to explore already.

Doesn't matter to me unless something egregious comes to light, which is low odds so I'm not worried about it. People can seem fine on the surface but doing bad things behind closed doors. Or like Elon Musk vs other CEO's where it's just not public.
 
Dam haha this should really be put to bed the sooner the better, at this point it seems more of a shady reason to not put it to bed than a good reason which I hope is not the case. Anyways my take on ARIS so far....

the limited good EFF guns and blueprints that I think don't last forever like exceptionals FINALLY is a good move but I am hoping it's not too little too late. Basically everyone left at this point has UL and we are about to get another flood which still are better EFF than the limited when it should be the other way around. The blueprints for the weaps really should be dropped from crafting where tons of resources are being destroyed both from hunting and mining mats. It should have been MA making another armatrix style blueprint drops possible on every planet but better than UL in every way and doesn't last a month. Since it's setup for this moon this is what I would highly recommend as a change to make a booming economy:

Can keep hunting mobs still dropping weap blueprints rarely too but also add a few weapon gizmo style blueprints specific only to this planets resources. For example level 1 bp for chance at level 10-20 gun clicks that use 1 tit ingot per click and a common mat from lvl 7 morterex mob per click. Level 2 blueprint to chase level 30-40 weap blueprint clicks using 1 tit ingot or 1 cassiterite ingot per click and mob loot xxxx from lvl 15-20 mob and so on going up. Preferably a mob loot that can be dropped from numerous mobs that level range so people aren't limited. But keep the blueprint farming cheap-ish per click (1.20-1.50) where me and others can blueprint farm all night while sleeping destroying TONS of mats.

My 2 pecs since economy is most important to me. I like the armor a lot too.
 
Not to be a negative Nancy but they could have avoided the new moon altogether and added the new (L) tt weapons on Calypso
and it would have had almost the same result.

Hoping for more 'interesting' and 'accessible' content. Definitely no place for noobs on ARIS.
 
I love the dungeon system, exactly as i asked MA to implement multiple times, the system is engaging and fun, hopefuly the stuff i looted will have some markup as well to close the circle
I agree, I would love to see some bigger raids that mabye are on a weekly timer, or that is open during weekends, something inspired from Destiny.
 
The secret dungeon could be adjusted a little. There are 3 "lvl" but even the smaller one its kinda hard and more as a melee user, its okey if you have to be geared but even using a mayhem L these things just obliterate me, i mean... im not high lvl, not an uber but im not a noob either, its not fun that some content cant be done with melee and more when the planet focus on unused melees like powerfist and maces, its like telling people to still not use them and stick to the range options
 
The new armor upgrade project is wonderfull. Excellent idea to divide the necessary upgrade pieces (e.g. from adjusted to improved) into 10 pieces (0.1 ped each). This way, more players will have the chance to loot a piece, earning MU.

Please fix the AI daily mission with the Magmakutas. The reward is extremely small, or the number of kills is excessively high for a daily.

Very good start, keep up the great work and I'll permanently settle on your moon.

No chips or fly vehicles? this is no place for players under lev 100. Copy-paste calypso mobs (bought on temu?). Took me 10 mins to get on fARtIS, 1h to leave. I really hope u have 30 refund policy with MA...
 
I tried ! But :
  • Same landscape than the islands around Atlantis Archipelago -> Why not creating a new area on Caly, then ?
  • No way to swim (Toxic water), no way to use my [Strider MK.II (L)], flying vehicles forbidden -> Why so restrictive ?
  • I saw some red dots, they were Atroxes painted in green with new names -> I laughed. Seriously ?
  • No sound on my weapons -> I read it's a known issue, cool, if you can't fix, just don't deliver until it's ready.
  • TP'ed back, got a CTD -> EU is Beta testing for 20 years, this planet is Alpha and should be advertised as such !
Back to Caly.

1: Because that would lose revenue into CLDT payments!
2: Because some areas are not supposed to be easily reachable, so you have to find specific ways via land.
3: Apparently MA are seriously trying to sell us that this is what a new pp wanted, yes.

My questions in return to all: is there something new or special with harvesting on ARIS that has broken trees from telling us on other planets what type they are? Or is it some non-related but typical MA breaking of a system, or even an undocumented intentional change? (While you're at fixing it MA, please put the info back to where it was lower down, and not at the top of trees as has been for some vus, ty.)
