Edits

Same issue, lets hold hands and pray to lootious:)

I believe my passion for a fix overrode my passion to believe there is that long awaited fix.
I have not checked it ingame, so I should have shut up and checked before I posted!
I think I'm probably shootin from the mouth but correct;)

The endless row of NL and MISSed shots "features" are still present ...

No word yet on what's new with this VU ? ... was hopping for a new kind of achievement : "Ava X is the 1st colonist to kill xxx mobs in a row and find no loot - a record has been added to the Hall of Fame..." kind of thing :smoke:

The Calypso part of this release contains mostly fixes to some quests and wave spawners.

send me a mail when RT estate bugs are fixed, so i can log in again, tyvm

Nothing to fix what causes the out of memory crashes on the new islands then?

There should be some small improvement in the performance near outposts however I am not yet entirely sure about whats hogging so much RAM.

No fixes for the insane lag at new tp's then? :(

No lag for me, no memory crashes. My PC ends up using about 90% of 4GB RAM though.

So extra RAM should sort you out, or presumably turning down graphics settings helps. Not saying that's ideal though.

If I solve it before you do, can I have a cookie? (an UL one would be much preferred over a L one)

Thank you. At least you are honest about zero QA with this problem. If you find it that hard (hard enough you can't even do it) to play-test with memory probes to see where the memory hogs are, my original offer since a few years back still stands:

- I am willing to help you improve the client so long as my existing avatar is in no way or form affected, and I get appropriate compensation for my specialist knowledge and work. I will also not travel to Mexico.

PM me if you have changed your minds.

I have minimum 2-3 CTDs per day. Often it happens when I get out from VTOL, or get in. Often it happens before someone appears on radar. (I loggin in back, move abit - and GD is here). Sometimes, someone crashed when I appears on his radar and he is in VTOL. (I just flying and see how pilotless VTOL falling from skies) Sometimes, right before crash, wide, white horisontal band perpendicular windshield appears, non-transparent.

I even managed 2 or 3 times to jump out from VTOL and look @ windshield from outside - no, there wasn't white band, but whole VTOL was like "burned out" colors from white-to-brown-black-darkgreen, etc, textures was very crazy (actually, it was very cool look!), and in two seconds - CTD.

Always report sent to MindArk about crash, and always after that message "stop voice, bla-bla-bla". Then waiting while my ava timeout from server, before I can login back.

When I login back, and CTD was in time of liftoff or flying: my ava stands, if I lucky - my VTOL will fall from skies in one minute, close to me. If i not lucky - VTOL is somewhere out of radar.

Only because of that, I have spare VTOL in my inventory with me.

Win7 x64, 4gb RAM, GF460.

I do.

It's draw distance. Normaly you can only see outposts and other structures when you get really close to them even in high settings, something very easily noticed with a VTOL or such.

In the new Servers, the structures seem to be visible (and taking space in memory) no matter how far you are. Going from Medusa to the East Island, you can actually see the TP's structures from Medusa's server...

Do i get a (UL :yay:) cookie?

Also, about incredible framerate falloff:

Check OLA 45 - Miner's Paradise. In the middle of it is trees, more like baloons with thin trunks. And there is kinda big place, where framerate dropping maybe to 1-2 per second!

I remembered this, because it very similar to horrible lags on new islands.

I already have 4gb ram and a 2gb gfx card, still on a 32bit system though. Medium or higher -> death. Low or safe mode, works much better. Medium with textures on low also sort of works, but still crashes.

This is making me not exactly want to visit the new islands.

Good point. I will see in the evening if reducing draw distance makes a change.

Is that west TP of western island working now?

It's not the draw distance as I only have lag when I'm in places with a tp and terminals etc, rest of the areas run fine.

No harm to try it then. These areas also have avatars that overtax your already filled memory.
