Stupid Luck W/ Small Mobs

Over the years, I've hit some very interesting loot on small mobs. I just want to know, has anyone else had such ridiculous loot?

My biggest mining global was on "noob ore".

I've even had two of the "Mythical Unicorns" of n00b hunting.

Oh just for the record, yes, my long-term TT returns are still at 89-91%.

As I say above, my reason for this post isn't so much to brag, but to ask if anyone else here has had such crazy n00b mob loot?
 
Attacker gen x 700ish ped
Spider bomb gen 6 650ish ped while hunting warlock (such a wasted multiplicator)

I recall a 950ish hof of lyst stuck in the fort troy western area, if you guys remember that outpost it was filled with big atrox and nasty spider stalker, who had the idea to put all thes just not so far south east of PA :D (was during my first week playing)

Fair enough. Moved out of the Achievements section and placed into hunting. (Being mod has its privileges, such as not having to request a thread move.)

Over 10x Hofs on tants, 3x of them over 2k


I have no idea what my return is but on the other hand, I never hit big on big mobs (and I do hunt them)

Haha, nice thread. I don't have pics, though :)

Would be:

1st hunting hof - 700ish exa provider
biggest uber for a long time on hunt: 2500 tantilion provider
a nice hoffie was also 400ish faux young
and a nice globie i'll prolly alway remember was a snarksnot mature defending a claim :)

1st uber on mining - 1100ish lyst unamped ofc
biggest uber on mining - 2900ish cumbriz unamped, lvl3 prosp, cnd ^^
 
3x 8-9k Argonaut
1x 6k Cornuncauda

You get more "rolls of the dice" with small mobs, but if the 1000 sided dice that Mindark seem to use falls on you whilst hunting Atrox you used to be able to get a 20k one (I've no idea if this is true - pure speculation)

But yeah, small mobs can be cool. Ive killed 16k foul, ripper, oro, merp etc and got a dozen globals total however! :)

Well, since my biggest loot over these 7 years ingame is ~380 ped I have to say no:p

Oh, light-weapon cells and bombs, I miss the good old days :)

Three ubers so far all 3 are after having a few months break, come back and after a week or so they pop up. I should take more breaks :rolleyes:
 
That's quite normal for people who hunted small mobs from around 2008-2012. I don't think you could do it now, at least not until they change the loot system again.
 
I have not had any of those 'stupid' loots before :(

But I know of at least a couple of my soc mates who had those, years back.

I think one was a 7xx peds on a chirpy or turp.

The other looted about 1k-2k on a foul young I think.
 
My 2 highest globals 4802 (11/17/2011) and 1340 (09/25/2012) peds was from Molisk young-adult ,I have done Atrox,Allo-Esto,Feffoid,Ambu Iron missions without being able to top them.

My most hatefull, I was a noob with like lvl 9, unamped finder, on the 11th bomb of the run


a RL friend was hunting them near me and he always avoided these... I didnt ... :laugh:


I never left a Snarksnot decay me either...

Had this fine Atrox Young a few years ago.

Its not a chirpy or young merp, but it is pretty small :)

3 x Tantillion above 2 K for me - only small mob that was every really worth hunting it

Fuck you MA for killing those spots (and the mob later) but thanks for saving me the time :laugh:

No big ped numbers but at least we got items back then !

Back in 2007 I think my first big one was a berycled dominant with 6750 ped and an UL Riker 1.Was travelling by foot to Jason from west and it attacked me.

For the mining its quite the contrary - lyst/oil are usually the most common materials, so higher the chance that your hof/tower will be lyst/oil.
 
I once hit a small global on one of those pesky mosquitoes... Diripi or something.
And once found an esi on a small snable many years ago.

Nothing nearly as crazy as yours.


I did once as complete mining noob, hit a 700-900 Platinum hof, while the mu was at ~500% iirc. That was nice. ;)

and no im not bragging this is more like the "dirty" secret in my closet.
was camping swamp camp for one of those 1K noob hofs that popped a few times a week back then and ubers complained about, my main ammo and powerfist finished i spy that king of swamp camp mobs, the berycled old, for some unknown reason i rush forward to beat the other avatars too it while switching to my finisher and tank that great big beast into submission.
to date this loot from 2007 is my biggest hunting hof i have had.

 
I think i still hold the record for highest loot on a calamusoid female, something like 7400 ped. Sadly i dont have the picture anymore, but if i remember correctly there should be a list of highest loots on mobs around somewhere.

EDIT: apparently these things can now be found on the entropiaplanets wiki, and it was 7545 ped apparently.

Speaking about stupid luck on small mobs will make sense after March-April 2012 when MA cut the loot badly on the small mobs.

My former soc got a 8.5k Argo young in team, and I was in team maybe weeks later for a ~700 one. That was end of 2011. But after mid-2012...

The chirpy one is something out of the ordinary.

I got a 20-25 ped from a puny mob in Thule this year, did not register as a small "global".
 
all in all i think i had like 8 merp globals/hofs, biggest around 1200 iirc, dunno for sure
does that count? :)
 
If you hunt small mobs enough then you'll eventually hof, it's the surprising ones that are interesting :)

I have 2 memorable ones.

1) Hunting big game with XT when an armax cow young got it my way, couldn't be bothered changing guns and 1 shot killed it with a crit which got me a 400ped hof

2) Mining (and I try my best to mine without hunting) when a young corn got in my way and gave me a CLD :)
