Create a new avatar, trade it some peds. It's important that you dont deposit on the avatar or you will fail.

Buy TT mining gear both ore and enmatter. Be sure to buy nothing else. This will guarantee you a claim that is atleast 1.8k peds within 2 weeks.

If you're haven't gotten the big loot within 1 week, take off your OJ's.

After two weeks create a new avatar and repeat.

This theory works 100% and for the last 2 years MA has tweaked their code even better for this kind of mining. It used to be 1.6k+ loot within 3 weeks. It's now 1.8k+ in 2 weeks.
