Loot Petition

This is not a protest or am i asking you to stop depositing,

i am asking you to sign your name up so MA can look @ the post and see how many off the players are unhappy, This will stop them receiving another 50k+ support claims about loot and will leave them more time to sort out in game probs,

So if you think the loot system should go back to the way it was before when you could break even without a global then sign up

I still love playing EU, I cant speak for anyone else but its a fact for me that loots are worse in general than they were (although just Hof'd), but i am addicted and will still play.
But yes i would sign however there are lots of other things i would also like to see such as the growth of EU and its playability

I really like EU but I cannot afford to play it in its current state.

I would love for the cost *for the average player* to be what MA has stated, not the overall average for the entire player base.

Without numbers from MA, we can't really get all the facts, but I know that my net worth is down from the pre-mall days. Without some GPP (Gross Planetary Product) figures, all we can go by is our own personal experiences within the game environment.

Don't get me wrong, I love to see friends and associates I have in game do well, but as mid-level players, they should not be having to shoot exarosaurs in order to get a HOF. We should be out hunting mobs appropriate for our skill level, and even then it should be the fight of our lives in order to gain rich rewards.

And... RidingDirty, direct strikes are often thwarted by trips to the Swedish Coder Possey Gulag. Perhaps an attention-getting thread will help, if it is allowed to stand in this venue.

Someone should start a petition against this petition. Firstly, there are new ubereconomic weapons. Korss 400 seems to me way too cheap, which means too low demand. If one uses old type noob guns instead, he can't blame anyone else. Secondly, ATH is the main reason why I'm hunting. I want the fame!

Why is it that completely new players with no skills and no experience are able to mysteriously loot thousands of PED from a creature that had it been killed by a more skilled player would have only looted a couple of pec?

There is no rhyme or reason to the looting the way it is now. No reason for anyone to ever strive for higher levels of gear and skill since now they stand to profit more in the long run by simply gambling with the low-level mobs rather than earn the right to bigger loots by skilling up and hunting the higher-level mobs.

The current loot system needs some serious adjustment. The only players that are currently satisfied with the loot system as it is now are the gamblers who are happy playing online slots and for some reason, I thought MA was intentionally trying to stay out of the online gambling genre of games.

would prefer to have a choice between low risk hunting on low mobs or higher stakes hunting on big mobs like it was before VU 8.9, rather than having all mobs high risk/high stakes.

Not that it will do any good to say it again, i've already done so many times lol. While you're at it roll back the skill nerf please.

I dont care about hunting ATH´s if they are on a fair mob.

I dont care about mining ATH´s if its in a skilled miner.

I dont care about crafting ATH´s if its a skilled crafter.

So what I do care?

I care about a so called "virtual universe" that claims "skills up to be more efficient" really work.

I care about getting alot of globals and some hofs 5 months ago in CND, and now with more skills I keep losing money.

So, wheres the grow and diference in skills?

Whats more fair? Me getting a 500peds hof on mining or a noob getting a tower over 10k?

In 3 years of playing I only got 1 mining tower of 15k cald. And to get that I needed to go on cnd to get it. That just sux. I never got anything over 400peds on the planet. All my big hofs were on cnd.

So do I care? Ofc I do. I love PE or EU or whatever u wanna call it. Am I happy? No im not.

Am I whining? Maybe I am! Go ahead -rep me, see if I care....

In 2,5 years of play i never got anything above 1,3k and believe me i deposited..
but how i am looking at it today, i am far from even close of getting the same ammount back.. last 2 deposits i only lost, it has been 3/4 year from my last HoF.. thats a real shame, esspecially when i see so many people hof so many times more, some deposit more and some don't.. and yes also i play alot, i play every day when i can.
and what you say about skills is true also, for me it isn't if you have big skills, i don't really notice a difference from when i was back noob, even if i am still a noob.

Im a mid\low hunter and i work hard everyday to skill up as much as i can.
The goal is to became able to use efficiently better armours and weapons.
And of course hoping ......one day to kill mobs i like w\out look stats.
Im asking too much to MA ?

Stop mentioning MY 8k Umbra, thats the 2nd time Ive seen it since yesterday!

For your in formation I have lost alot more than bloody 8K in the last few months.

Your looking for a loot adjustment thats fair enough, but I hunt 8-10 hours a day, I lose like everyone else, worked my ass off for that Hof!!

And I dont appreciate you belittling it like this, and Im not a noob either, 3rd year in game and around 150k in skills AND I have camped that argo/umbra area since December!

Why the hell shouldnt a low level mob give me that, I explain what I mean..

I still get skills from these mobs, they are economical to hunt, both mobs drop goods I can sell for + %, as far as Im concerned Im using my head, I do far better doing this than say blowing $100 on a short Hogglo hunt, that could well give me nothing but a huge repair bill.

No-one has a right to be 'pissed' at this Hof, I work and struggle in this 'game' as much as anyone!

Reason:

I often sweat and then kill these little critters. After 300 or 400 mobs, I saw the pattern. Globals are very rare on these, believe me. The global itself is a random factor and depends still on the mob itself.

I get now and then 2 ped from them, and each week perhaps 10 ped. It looks reasonable and balanced for the small mobs.

(I am fully maxed, and have decent skills for them).

So, I am not persuaded it is unbalanced. I cannot talk about bigger mobs, Drone upwards, of course.

im not digging @ your 8k umra, their has been 3 X 8k umbra last few weeks, my soc mate got 10k armax young, etc etc etc, im glad someone like you got the 8k and not someone that played 4 weeks, If someone who had played 4 weeks had got the hof and posted he had played 4 weeks and had never deposited would your attitude be the same, i think not,

everyone has lost huge amounts off $ not only you, this is my point , 1 person happy ( or releived) so many pissed , ive lost 14k peds in little over 2 weeks (on mid lvl mobs) , this never happend before, if you like the new loot sytem fine, good, but this is a post for people that DISLIKE it, not a discusion

so take your 8k loose it again then come back in 2 weeks and sign your name up

Its all about loss right now, no matter what i do i just lose all the time. I deposit a good ammount, but it is all just dissapearing, no matter how often i global.
The current loot system sucks, and thats not an understatement.Becomming more and more difficult to keep on at this rate.

And had loot been more balanced, that 8k would have been 7k profit, you would have had many smaller hofs before, had more fun, ...

I definitely join this train! I'm sick of seing what's happening in this universe.

As per my question in the January Q&A (which still has not been answered...)..

Skills mean nothing at the moment. There is no incentive for anyone to skill up and afford better equipment. If a newcomer can ATH, then why should I deposit more to build my skills in the hope of doing the same?
I spend thousands of peds skilling only to see a newcomer getting ATH on exo youngs etc.

Very discouraging.

I'm in agreement. Despite a personal record breaking number of globals, it seems that there is simply no hope of advancement without being one of the few who attain a large windfall and even that may not be enough. I've at least been fortunate in that my net worth is simply stagnating rather than going in the red, however that is with additional deposits.

I want to slowly, yet progressively prosper through engaging in activities in a strategically smart manner. I know MA is not going to provide a profit and have never considered that an option. It's the markup on basic materials that can do that, or at least allow you to break even, while hunting as eco as possible. Now, it just can't seem to be done. At least I haven't yet figured out how. It seems that the materials (hides and wools etc.) are dropping less in order to make the difference, yet the animal oils are dropping as usual. The problem is that I get the markup on the hides and such which allows me to continue with smaller losses, at worst. However, I also have noticed that there are significantly fewer orders for these materials on the auction. I don't know if it's due to the thin wool shortage or due to some other reason. The oils just make their way to the tt. They're in too much of an abundance to be anything but useless, imo. If I wanted to sit in hope of a large windfall for financial progress within EU or IRL, I would play a lottery. It would certainly be less expensive and less time consuming.

I love EU and will continue my weekly deposits, hoping improvement will manifest by MA or by figuring out if anything works without having to count on hofs and aths, however there will be a serious curtailing of any additional deposits that have occurred in the past. I just can't justify throwing good money after bad and I've reached my threshold of patience with this over the past weekend. I'm certain that MA could find a balance that can please the masses, or at least appease us, as well as cover their objectives. I'm hoping it's as simple as a small tweak. I understand they have reasons for changing it and maybe in theory it is a minute adjustment, but in reality it does seem to be a bit shocking.
