Land Grab 2008 Update

Today's final stage of the Land Grab 2008 is temporarily postponed for technical reasons. The event will be rescheduled for another weekend in the near future. More information will be made available here when the time and date have been finalized.

not surprised and a good decision. servers arent going to stay up for the duration, judging from my hunting around Neas from the last 24 hours.
 
I can feel the heat from the flames that are coming, but with the server problems of the last few days it would be best to solve those problems first.

Good call, delay if problems prevent it from performing as it should :)

Why didn't MA shut the game down on Friday to fix the problems?

The LG is such a important event that it should have been priority #1.
 
Better than try and run it with the game as it has been playing the last few days.

I just hope that it is not 2 years till we can finish this LG.
 
Why cant Ma give its PAYING customers a little bit more notice about this????? This should not be posted the same day, if they had troubles they should have let us know a week ago!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't cancel it, it can't be worse than the previous LG...

Very, very sorry about this everybody, but it was the best call to make given the situation. The servers aren't doing well. Our people are working on it and I hope we'll have an update next week.

We understand your frustration and really appreciate your patience with this.

Half my society was out at the claimrod :( lots of people took this day off work.

this is just the cherry on top..... typical MA.

Last LG 2 years ago was same thing..... started to fight and 20 mins in a message "LG is postponed"... i guess they improved they now give us 2 hours notice compared to 20 mins IN LG last time.
