Mining sucks...

Game is garbage now with no return at all, Every money deposit i make mindark takes in couple of days, seems there is no MU in game anymore...

I would agree with this..

So I am starting with extremely simple tests to get a baseline. Something that is cheap and does not take a lot of time. Also something that I can do for a long period of time. Also something that virtually eliminates other miners dropping before me..

Returns are now at 96.8% about... I also want some more data points so I will have to mine for a few days, doing what I am doing and then take a look at the data and it's variance..

Something to also note that I am doing, I am still using the Python code that I mentioned previously but in a completely different way, again in an attempt to reduce variance as much as possible. IE if my Python code actually altered my results, they would show up in the results and that is not what the results are showing so the Python is BS...

So now the question is WHY did the Python work so well in the beginning, and now it's completely SH..

Doing what I am doing should give me a better picture over time..

You are not listening ... or you cant count ...

ONLY count WITH MU minus cost cause that is what you will get after sales.

Counting simple TT return doesn't tell you anything.

Oh no, I hear you..

Lets take a look at my mining in PE and compare it to now. Using the spiral, this was a typical run

1st 0.5 ped drop miss
2nd 1 ped drop hit size 5
3rd 1 ped drop hit size 5
4th 1 ped drop hit size 5
etc..

The above carried on till the game moved to a new cycle or someone started mining in the same 1km cell.. This was back in the day when lyst had a 300%mu...

1 ped in, 3 ped out (NO MU) ... Unheard of in the game now... This was a skill based system, my actions determined my returns, not my sales price.

Now that skill system is gone, it no longer exists, it's been replaced with .....

Thats what I want to know. Eliminate any form of skill in this game and drop at the same place over and over again (after area refresh of course), and look at your results...

I hear ya.

Game changed from skill based to tool usage based. Which again means need skills to use certain tools for certain depths.

So back to it, it is avatar skill based + some ingame knowledge such as what area have what resources and what % drop rate.
Thats all what you need to know actually.

So nothing that I am really interested in...

I am still sitting at 98% tt return with minimal effort.
 
Game is pure garbage now, I cant past 97% with all items mindark give me as MU, i must finance my play with 300usd every 100k ped spent. Gl all

Returns are down to 92% tt which is to be expected. It appears to oscillate over time.
 
Only took 20 years for you to actulally start understanding how mining actulally works.
Question now is, is this oscillation time dependent or drop dependent ?
 
I guess we will need another 20 years to find out basic mining stuff.Or we can hire a mentor to find out in 10 minutes.
OP could ask AI Chat to compare top miners advice via data sources like the forum, el etc, compare and report on correlations.

Ye it basically comes down to pick a server, drop a probe, if you miss move to the next server. If you have tried all the servers log-out...

Simple really...

Goto beginning

Basically mine until the server is crap, change server, repeat, when all servers are crap alt-f4. Simple...

Sounds like a ridiculously terrible profit per hour (if any profit at all), compared to what you make by targeting good markup areas and just keep dropping.
